Wow, it has been way too long since I updated my blog.  I’m really sorry to all of you friends out there who care so much about Haiti.  I promise to be better.  I could blame weeks of traveling out West to share our dreams for Haiti; and I could blame the fact that Lynn Ann has been very sick and this has kept me really distracted.  However, there isn’t a good enough excuse.  So here goes!

We’re going to have a busy summer.  We’ve got a small medical team from The Hope For Haiti in Brownwood,Texas coming from May 16 – 22; a large group from Heart For The World Church in New Mexico coming in early to mid-July; another large group coming from New Jersey in late July; and our own Aslan teens from New Jersey are coming in mid-August.  There will me many more to come, because of the tremendous interest that has been generated for our work in Haiti since the devastating earthquake in early January.

Because of all the many wonderful individuals, churches and groups who have given and continue to give to our Haiti Relief Fund, we are going to start building a clinic in the very near future!  For the first time, we have a real hope that all the dreams Aslan has for Haiti will come true.  There are so many, many churches and people to thank, but very special mention goes to Rev. Terrence Porter and Pilgrim Baptist Church of Red Bank (and many friends from the Haiti Initiative) for your tireless efforts 6a00e552ed7b7588330133ed0b14c6970b-320wi since January on behalf of Aslan’s Haiti ministry.  You have truly caught the vision and caught the dream!  Also, enormous thanks to Grace Bible Church of Bozeman, Montana and our many friends there; and Heart For The World Church and New Covenant Church in Las Cruces, New Mexico; and Hope Presbyterian and Hope Korean Presbyterian here in New Jersey.  Okay, I’m on really dangerous ground here, because I know I’m forgetting someone.  How about those of you who have given so generously before the earthquake: Pastors Howard & Linda Renker and all our friends at Bethel Christian Church in Bristol, CT; Rev. Steve Beard and 1st Presbyterian (Tower Hill) Church in Red Bank; Pastor David De Forest and Tinton Falls Reformed; Sanibel Community Church, Sanibel, Florida!  Please forgive me for those I’ve left out; and I am also truly sorry that I cannnot possibly name all of you individuals who have given so generously.

Now that I’ve really gotten myself in a mess of trouble, I can still say thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and everyone of you who believe in and support Aslan.  That means both our local New Jersey children and families who we are 100% dedicated to and the children and families we serve in Haiti who we are 100% dedicated to.  You’ll notice I underlined “both/and,” because this is the heart of Aslan.  There is no “either/or” with us!  When you look into the eyes of these children, you can see Jesus looking back.

Much love to you all, and I’ll be in touch soon (I promise)!

Craig
