Junior Martial Artists was set up by Vivian Lau, a high school student, and is offered to students with Aslan Youth Ministries. The 10 week program teaches students to practice self defense and proper martial art form. The program’s goal is not only to teach karate, but to also increase self esteem and confidence.
Sessions include lessons in: street defense, the proper way to throw a punch, how to kick, and how to roll correctly. All lessons are taught by teenage black belts, with years of experience.
The style taught is a combination of Tae Kwon Do, Kum Do, Hapkido, Aikido, Shorin Ryu, & Kung Fu. All student helpers were taught by Grand Master Coyne Clinch, a seventh degree black belt.
