Meet Ra’Kim, a vibrant and energetic boy who is part of our Aslan family. Ra’Kim, who is on the autism spectrum, brings a unique spark to our community. His infectious enthusiasm and boundless energy make him a joy to be around, even though he can be a handful at times.
Ra’Kim’s journey with Aslan began when he joined our programs, following in the footsteps of his older brother who was with us many years ago. From after-school activities to our Right Choices curriculum and summer camp, Ra’Kim has embraced every opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
One of the highlights of Ra’Kim’s experience has been the unwavering support and guidance of our camp counselors. They’ve not only nurtured his talents but also helped him navigate the challenges of autism, fostering an environment where he feels understood and valued.
Then there’s Lynn Ann, seen here talking with Leticia, a mother whose story is a testament to resilience and community. Leticia, a cherished member of our Aslan family, resurfaced during the challenging times of Covid after we had lost touch. She had suffered a terrible fall that resulted in memory loss. Despite these hardships, her four children are now actively participating in our programs, finding support, joy, and growth within the Aslan community.
