In celebration of our ongoing efforts to unite people from all walks of life and diverse racial backgrounds to benefit Aslan’s Children, we are excited to announce our Annual Run & Walkathon for Aslan’s Youth: Together We Stride.
Aslan Youth Ministries deeply appreciates the hundreds of thousands of dollars raised by runners and walkers over the years. Our goal this year is to raise $30,000. This annual event raises crucial awareness of our mission to serve at-risk youth residing in Monmouth County, NJ. All the children we serve live below the federal poverty level and face numerous adversities, including abuse, neglect, family dysfunction, community violence, discrimination, and peer victimization.
Our organization continuously innovates to support youth, families, and local communities. A vital component of Aslan Youth Ministries is our volunteer program, which brings together a diverse community of residents who serve as tutors and mentors for Aslan’s children. Volunteers share their skills and expertise in math, reading, science, financial literacy, boating, painting, and other special skills. But more importantly, the heart of our ministry is our volunteers, whose dedication helps ensure our children thrive, as evidenced by the many success stories of our Aslan Alumni.
Beyond Monmouth County, our work in Haiti helps people escape poverty by empowering their lives physically, mentally, and spiritually, enabling them to become change agents for their nation. Our clinic addresses medical and nutritional needs, Maranatha Church provides spiritual support, and our school offers educational enrichment to over 600 families.
