Aslan Youth now a talented singer and headliner
with Tim McLoone’s Holiday Express
Sheldon E. was raised in an impoverished home in the Red Bank, New Jersey area. He came to Aslan Youth Ministries as an impressionable 16-year-old boy and was blessed with a beautiful voice and charismatic personality. Sheldon was mentored by Aslan and helped through those difficult teenage years when one wrong decision might have set him off onto a lifetime of failures.
Upon graduating from high school, Aslan sent Sheldon to Agape Force, a performing arts school in Lindale, Texas, where he continued to hone his vocal talents and created a plan for a career in music. From Agape Force, he joined the internationally acclaimed Continental Singers and toured with them for several years. Also, he performed as a back-up singer for Darlene Love (circa 1960’s).
Today, Sheldon is doing very well and has performed with the New Jersey Mass Choir. He has recorded three Gospel CDs and Sheldon is currently a headliner with Tim McLoone’s Holiday Express. He has also performed as a backup singer for Darlene Love who sang the ever-popular Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).
Sheldon volunteers his musical talent to support Aslan Youth Ministries!
A typical Aslan child comes from a single-parent home, live below the poverty level, and have educational and emotional challenges caused by trauma. We can’t help them alone! Help Aslan Youth Ministries continue its work in saving children in need.

Sponsor An Aslan Child – Keeps an Aslan youth in all programs through the year. Each sponsor is matched with an Aslan child who will write their own personal letter of thanks twice per year. The sponsor also receives a magnet with their sponsored child’s photo.
